I am Professor in Theatre Studies at the University of Bergen, Norway, where I teach courses in topics including dramaturgy, theatre history and historiography.

My research has three main strands:

• theatre and the cultural history of imagination
• the performativity of the text and the dramaturgy of spectatorship
• cultural mobility and the digital humanities
